Empowerment Retreat

New Forest Retreat

with full-board accommodation in a beautiful country house,

Furzey Gardens, Minstead

3 nights, from 6 to 8 October 2017

Explore the limitless power of forgiveness

We are delighted to be hosting this weekend in a beautiful country house with ensuite single and double bedrooms, set in incredible gardens in the heart of the New Forest.  Enjoy what has been described as a life changing experience, with a small group of like-minded people and a very warm caring professional team.

The empowerment weekend will begin with a Tibetan sound bath initiation and will include presentations, discussions, reflection, open spaces for process, understanding and defining forgiveness and working through this process and stages. There will time for reflection, walks and we finish with drumming.

The long-lasting effects of anger and relentlessness can prevent us from living a full life and and we also pass this trauma on to families and communities.

The American Psychological Society has published on the benefits of the forgiveness model and its implications for mental health in “Forgiveness Therapy, an Empirical Guide for Resolving Anger and Restoring Hope” (Robert D. Enright and Richard P. Fitzgibbons). We appreciate this is a big step for some people, and if you are ready the please join us.

Thank you for so many letters and comments that have been flooding in. A book called ‘Empowerment weekend’ is on its way. So many of you have ventured into this path because you don’t want to sufferer anymore, or pass this on to your children. You have noticed how much lighter you are and able to function after the Empowerment.  Many of you are looking after elderly parents and have been able make amends or even let go of terrible tragedies. Forgiveness is definitely for your benefit rather than that of others. I thank you for becoming part of this movement. The whole world at one stage will need to consider more forgiveness and heal.

About the venue

Within an enchanted garden of 3 acres, it is in the heart of the New Forest, 45 minutes from Southampton or Bournemouth, 5 minutes from the M27, and two hours from London.

The house itself is an old Victorian property set in Furzey Gardens – which are worth a visit on their own.  There are 6 bedrooms, three lounge areas and a cosy dining area. There is plenty of space to walk outside, and trails lead to secluded areas of the New Forest.

  • Set in a private area within the grounds of Furzey Gardens, this detached thatched house provides the perfect setting for mindfulness and forgiveness retreats. The house and grounds provide a private, tranquil and safe space in a most beautiful location in the centre of the New Forest.

The house has a breakfast room, well equipped kitchen and lounges, opening onto a private terrace. The bedrooms have recently been redecorated.

Minutes from Minstead Village, less than 4 miles to Lyndhurst, and only 5 minutes from the M27, Furzey House is a perfect base from which to explore the New Forest or to just relax, unwind in the most beautiful location you can imagine.

 Thank you
