Having had a number of challenges and obstacles in my life, such as searching for purpose and meaning, I have had to conquer an unusual array of challenges. This takes time, determination, various resources and support, self-belief, creativity, and a helpful guide to navigate through life’s often muddy waters.

What model do we use?
Therapy is an opportunity to identify areas where we feel blocked, over-whelmed and unable to make sense of life. Often in therapy various tools are utilised such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), the forgiveness model, mindfulness, and psychodynamic theory, but every person’s life situation is unique.
My training and experience
I began my career volunteering for Victim Support in London for ten years, supporting victims of crimes who struggled to make sense of their experience and needed to learn how to reintegrate their lives out of oppression and violence. Then worked in the NHS Bereavement service, having previously trained at Roehampton University in integrative counselling and psychotherapy. I then undertook 3 years of volunteer service at Sutton Counselling working with depression, using the psychodynamic model which deals with understanding how early childhood conditions affect our ability to ability to function (or not) and live more fully productive lives.
I have trained in mindfulness with Breathworks and at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, and I worked with students at Brighton University and Birkbeck college, in teaching mindfulness as ‘tools for life’ and wellbeing. I am the one of the first people in the UK to use the forgiveness model in counselling; and run annual forgiveness retreats in London and on the south coast. The forgiveness model, which had been validated by the American Psychological Society is another tool and approach to with traumas.
My fees for private psychotherapy and counselling is £60 per session.
I also hold a few places for people in need of counselling and at a concessionary rate.
